This page will get all the information together we need to do business. help you find out what your used cart might be worth. This helps both you and I arrive at an equitable price without quibbling too much. Of course we can still haggle a bit or it wouldn't be fun.
Basically our formula works like this:
Estimate the value of the cart if it was new. Be realistic and remember that brand-names don't count here, used carts are generic. You can get some ideas on the comparative price page. Divide the new cart value in half and write down the result and label it HALF CART VALUE (HCV). This amount has to pay for the cost of the cart, transportation and remanufacturing, the other half is the used discount, and a profit for us.
Carts that are joined panels are harder to remanufacture than ones built on metal frames. If they are screwed-glued laminated particle board, there is really nothing to work with, but if they are plywood or solid wood, they can be salvaged. You might get a lot more money for them if you fix them up so they don't have to go to El Paso for remanufacturing, but, instead, can get shipped directly to a customer. Something to think about.
Multiply the Half-Cart-Value as follows to estimate the cost of remanufacturing:
The result is the VALUE BEFORE REMANUFACTURING (VBR) Write it down.
Now, how many carts do you have like this? Multiply the VBR by the number of units to get the LOAD OF CARTS VALUE (LCV) Write it down and label it.
We can send the salvage crew and transport for about $1.00 per mile, and unless we are coming through your area empty, we have to include roundtrip mileage. Of course, you could deliver them to us if you had a truck going that way. Clearly the transportation is an issue to work with! So, if we have to come pick them up for remanufacturing, multiply $1 times the mileage to El Paso times two for round-trip. Subtract the result from the Load-of-Carts Value, now you have an estimate of what your carts might be worth to us. If you like, you can divide by the number of carts you have to figure out the value by cart.
What we need from you is a photograph of the carts and the information you used to make your estimate of their value. We are trusting you to disclose the facts, don't incur bad karma by trying to cheat us on the deal. We are going to see the cart before you get the money!
SEND the photos and the calculation with your request for us to consider buying your carts to:
Now just supposing that you went through this exercise and found that you don't want to sell your carts for what we might be able to offer according to this valuation model. You think they are worth more than our pricing model says they are worth, well, we can still help you sell them. Send the photograph and we will put it on the CARTandKIOSK.com used cart website for $75 with a way to contact you directly, or for a ten percent commission, we can be the intermediary broker, qualify the buyers, etc for you.
